Spier Contemporary
The Africa Centre is proud to present the Spier Contemporary 2010, South Africa’s largest biennale of contemporary art. The Exhibition welcomed over 20,000 visitors to the Cape Town City Hall from March to May 2010.
The winning artworks from the Exhibition will now be exhibited in Durban from 27th July to 15th August. Thereafter, the Winners’ Exhibition will travel to Potchefstroom and Polokwane. The Winners’ Exhibition was on display in Port Elizabeth in June and July 2010.
This extraordinary exhibition provides South African contemporary artists with an open platform to create and show new art, which reflects both the breadth and depth of the South African experience.
