Artist's Statement

Zuma and the rest of South Africa will experience the soccer World Cup. The red figure symbolises hate and love that must go on their knees. Yellow means energy, green - life. The two acrobats above the President’s head are unstable and the country must beware! Hope and Fear (Mixed media 161 x 95 cm) 

Artist's Biography

Born: Harrismith, 1958. Lives and works in Harrismith. Received her BA(FA) from the University of the Free State and was trained by master weaver Hannes Koortzen, Cape Town. Major exhibitions: William Humphrey Art Museum, Kimberley; Potchefstroom University.
