Artist's Statement
This piece is one of a line-up of all the presidents of South Africa that have held office during my lifetime. The work comprises a series of life-sized official portraits of the presidents. On their lapels are objects that have been sewn or pinned to the photographs. Each object is a reference to that particular presidency and the title of each portrait references the object.
Artist's Biography
Born: Pietermaritzburg, 1975. Lives and works in Cape Town. Received his BA(Hons), and also his MA and MSc.
