Artist's Statement
The car (being a means of transportation) symbolizes movement, from where we have come to where we are right now, in terms of education. Even though I myself did not experience Bantu education first hand I was parented by those who did ... hence the choice of books written in Afrikaans, which was the language of domination, adopted as medium of instruction for Bantu education.
Artist's Biography
Born: 1982. Lives and works in Polokwane. He studied Art and Design at the Capricorn FET College from 2006 to 2008. Major exhibitions: Sasol New Signatures Competition.
