Artist's Statement

My work is inspired by the traditional old folk stories. Matanaswo means: ‘She who comes with them’. She got married into the Rikhotso family. Before she arrived there was harmony and peace in the family. When she arrived she brought chaos and disorder to the family. The message of the story is that there are problems in marriage. A good wife is very hard to find.
