Artist's Statement

The Fight Oil: In this artwork I took social pressure as the theme. This artwork relates to our modern society where you’ll find politicians and people who have been chosen by ordinary people to represent them not doing what they are supposed to do or caring about those people, but rather preferring the focus to be on themselves. This is my concern about the society that I am living in and this is how I present the theme to the viewers for comment.

Celebration (Social Pressures): In this artwork I focus on social pressure where you find our people in the high ranks are not focussing on issues affecting our society, the same society they are living in. They rather ignore issues than focus and give attention to them as if it is something that doesn’t include them. In today’s society corruption is the order of the day and priests, lawyers and the police don’t seem to say or see anything wrong with it. Instead they don’t care, but just talk about these issues.
