
My work centres on issues relating to aspects of South African society, ranging from one-liner piss-takes of the art scene to more sombre investigations of wayward masculinity and violence. Formally my idiom is often eclectic but falls within a neo-conceptual framework with an emphasis on craft and materiality.
Born: Benoni, Johannesburg, 1977. Lives and works in Cape Town. Received his MFA from the University of Cape Town in 2008. Stuart has exhibited locally and internationally on various group shows and art fairs.
